The Rakes  release a new single 'Light From Your Mac” on the 9^th  November 2009 through V2.  ‘Light From Your Mac” is taken from the bands third album ‘Klang’ and will be released as a digital download only.  Both single and album were recorded at Planet Roc Studios in Berlin and produced by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Walkmen, Passion Pit). Klang is the bands most critically acclaimed album to date receiving rave reviews across the board.

After a summer of festivals The Rakes plan to play the following UK dates this Autum.  Dates are as follows:

On working with producer Chris Zane, Alan Donohoe adds: "The album is raw, playful, exciting, complex and schizophrenic - much like the personality of Berlin itself. It couldn't be more of a fitting place to record it.”

KLANG is the follow-up to the highly acclaimed albums Capture/Release (2005) and Ten New Messages (2007). 

The Black Keys have recently announced details of an album that will feature some of the biggest names in hip-hop!

Recorded under the name Blackroc, the self titled album will feature the likes of Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, Jim Jones and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard amongst others...
