It's our favourite time of the week - That's right....it's time for recipe of the week!

This week we have a timeless classic brought to you by none other than our very own Ed 'Bring The Flavour' Pearson..

Spaghetti Bolognese

Get that sauce right!

500g beef mince - Add this to your pan first and cook till it's slightly browned then add...

1 Red onion

2 400g tins of chopped tomatoes

100g tomato Puree

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoons oregano

two cloves of fresh garlic

one glass (125ml) red wine

1 teaspoon of chilli flakes to spice up your life….(optional!)

Once you've added all of these fresh ingredients.. let it cook on a low heat for 1 hour. This will bring the flavour!

Get that pasta right!

Allow roughly 200g of pasta per head (for the very hungry) - a normal portion is around 150g. Boil a lot of water (1 litre per 100g), add some olive oil and salt. When the water is boiling, add the pasta. Tends to be 10 - 12 minutes for spaghetti. Now put the whole lot into a colander which you should have placed in your sink! Shake until water has drained then serve up pronto!

Add your sauce – Job done!

New York’s Amazing Baby have announced details of the release of their debut album and a string of UK shows in April supporting The Virgins.

The band are set to release their 11-track debut, Rewild, through Cooperative Music on June 22nd 2009. The full tracklisting is as follows:

The album was recorded & mixed (and co-produced with the band) by Claudius Mittendorfer at Electric Ladyland studio in New York late last year.

The band, who recently played Shepherds Bush Empire as part of the NME Awards series of shows and a brace of gigs at the recent SxSW festival in Austin Texas, will be playing a number of shows in the US with the Cold War Kids before arriving in the UK.
